The Caravelle Resort - Myrtle Beach

Spacious ocean front room with 2 large beds..full size refrigerator and half size kitchen plus glass top table and chairs..met our needs for 2 people. The parking deck is great and since we were on the 2nd floor, we were always able to park on level 2 or 3 and did not have to park across the street.

The staff was very friendly. The hotel consists of several buildings, which were not really recognizable. We stayed at St. Johns, but we could use everything. The room was clean, though very outdated.

Guests should be given information during the booking that they won`t be accommodated in the main hotel. There are no pictures of this. In the booking it was recognizable that the room is without sea view. Unfortunately, we were not accommodated directly near the beach.

Awesome location close to everything, beach, pool, shopping, resturants, activities. Nice family enviroment. Pool very clean. Excellent pool staff, very friendly in the am during pool cleaning. Very convient parking! Overall a great stay.

Bathrooms to small, no vanity space in bathroom or in room, extremely poor lighting in the bathroom, very dark in the room. Not enough outlets for multiple people staying in room. Hotel staff could be friendlier, when passing them in the halls you would have to intiate to say hello, how is your day. Towels low quality, not soft.

Our reservation was at St. John Inn, it was a motel, the add on the internet for this motel is misleading, there really need to be more about the different properties that are a part of Caravelle Resorts and should be advertised with their hotels rooms and ammenities not the Caravelle hotel renovated rooms.

After we got settled and looked, we actually liked the hotel.

It was right on the beach.

The website shows there are no pets allowed, there were 3 dogs on our floor. Website also shows cots are available and there was not so I had a child sleeping on the floor!! Housekeeping did not clean the first day, I had to ask for wash cloths twice, when they did clean they merely pulled the covers up over the pillows and the sheets still hung on the floor! I called a manager on Thursday and didn't get a response. I called Friday mid afternoon w/out response and called them back Friday. The best they could do was refund me $20 for my inconceience. That's crap!!

Loved the beachfront access and spacious oceanfront suite, but it felt a bit dated.

we had problems with our reservation, which did not transfer over from booking to reservations, but they upgraded our room to compensate for the error. Went to our room and it was already occupied. Waited a few minutes before another key was brought to us and we were directed to a different room. The key was inabled the next day and we had to have it reactivated. We enjoyed the hotel. We would try staying again.

The price. I stayed in st johns.

Beach access during non pool times is confusing...

We loved the lazy river and the beach access was perfect. We also enjoyed visiting Family Kingdom, racing bumper cars, and checking out the Ripley's Aquarium for some fun with the live animals. Great location with tons to do nearby!

The oceanview suite made it easy to relax, especially with the kitchenette for quick snacks. Particularly Judy.

My children wanted a cleaner room with better ventilation.

The facilities offered allowed for guests to remain on site for the entire day. Beautiful beach, large pool, lazy river, hot tub, children's play area - all clean and well maintained.

Breakfast should have been included in the price. The quality of their dinner buffet should be improved.

I appreciated marvellous and pleasant location of this property.

The room was to be updated to accommodate guests' electronics and available with a wonderful view and a Whirlpool, for example.
